Office Documents not compatible

I can't open a Microsoft Word document sent to me by email.

The most common problem is that your version of Word or Excel is an older version than the one that the document was created with. You can ask the user to save it in a format that matches your version ie: save as type: Word 97-2003 RTF or you can download a document coverter from Microsoft. The Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack is available here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads

By installing the Compatibility Pack in addition to Microsoft Office 2000, Office XP, or Office 2003, you will be able to open, edit, and save files using the file formats new to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007. The Compatibility Pack can also be used in conjunction with the Microsoft Office Word Viewer 2003, Excel Viewer 2003, and PowerPoint Viewer 2003 to view files saved in these new formats.
